“The Silence of Children” is a great read, and once it drew me in, I couldn’t put it down until the end. The story became riveting and I read it almost in one sitting. Like all good books it also left me wanting more, and I hope you will continue the storyline later so we discover what happens to the main characters and the remaining protagonists. Overall a great read that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone interested in a great story that could so easily, though hopefully never, be based on fact.“
“The second book in the series starts with a bang. It would help to read the first book, The Silence of Children, since there are quite a few references to it, however that would be a plus as it is an excellent read as well. Chris Lewando is an amazing writer, no matter what genre she chooses. I’ve read quite a few of her books and she is a master at setting the mood. You feel exactly what the main character is experiencing. She also excels at showing you multiple shades of gray in a black and white issue. The plot line is resolved in the end, but as in life, the story continues. Chris always leaves me thinking.”

Deirdre’s sister and her family have been targeted, to try to bring Deirdre and her father out of hiding. Another romp with darker undertones, when Deirdre comes up with a clever plan to save everyone, and it backfires dramatically.
