BETWEEN THE COVERS
When the Wild Hunt gathers, nothing can stand in its way... Modern lives clash again the magic of legend. Filled with action and rich with olde world heroic charm, this novel will engage children and adults alike. When a rift splits time itself, immortals thunder into our world on flaming horses, their eyes bright with a hunger they don’t understand. They have never known death. They ride for the sheer joy of the kill—and when every living thing is gone, their grief will echo the sound of silence. Exiled to a windswept Mendip Hills village after a violent clash with London police, Liam believes his punishment is exile and boredom. But Ash—the magnetic biker who follows him—brings the promise of eternal life, a danger far greater than Liam could ever imagine. And the only person who might save him is June, Liam’s blind cousin—quiet, overlooked, and far more powerful than anyone suspects. Help comes from the most unlikely of places, but to survive, Liam must decide whether to trust June’s hidden strength—or take Ash’s tempting offer. The Hunt is closing in, and even heroes can be broken. For readers who love Alan Garner, Susan Cooper, and the oldest legends where light and darkness clash, this is a tale where ancient magic bleeds into modern life, and courage is never what it seems.
IN READERS’ WORDS
'The interweaving of mythical figures gives the story depth and excitement. I raced through this book with huge enjoyment. The more I read the more wrapped up I became in Liam’s evolution and emotional development. The countryside in the area was like a character itself, I really want to see it in person now. This is a very distinctive work, very well written, with some surprising twists and turns. I'm hoping there's a sequel. I would read anything by this author.'
'I enjoyed this tale of modern troubled youth meets old myths and legends. It was masterfully woven and well written. The Author introduces the old stories well and gives their meaning a modern twist that flows seamlessly with the tales. The characters are believable and well portrayed. I found myself rooting for Liam’s success on many levels. Bravo!'
